September Mid Month Update

This weekend there will NOT be a 3/4 and 5/6 Soccer Kick-Off event at EMES. It has been canceled due to scheduling conflicts.

No Strings Marionette Co. performing at the Adams Apple Orchard & Farmers Market Fall Festival on Sept 15 & 16 at noon, 1:30 & 3 each day in Williston, VT Adm. is free – there is also a petting zoo & cider making demo

Kellogg-Hubbard Library Book Sale Sept 10–Oct 13 M-Th10am-8pm Fri & Sat 10-5:30pm

Two Rivers Garlic Festival Sept 15th 1-6pm 223-1515 Local farmers will provide fresh food, area chefs will prepare garlicky treats, music - from bluegrass to blues - will be performed all day. Traditional crafts will be demonstrated, tours of the riverside property -by foot & by horse-drawn wagon - with gardeners and naturalists will be offered, and plenty of great food, including free ice cream.

10th Annual Barre Granite Festival Sept 15th 10-3pm FREE Adm Chicken BBQ, Demonstrations, NE Fiddlers meet 10-1, Square Dance 1:30-3. Tours of Hope Cemetery 11 & 1
13th Annual Bethany Church Lawn and Bake Sale Sept 15 8am–8pm Sept 16 noon–3

In October our PTNA will benefit from the BAKED BEADS FACTORY SALE Oct 5th - 7th in Waitsfield. Prices start at $2 and are way below wholesale. Earrings, bracelets, necklaces and more. Receipts that are turned in from this sale to the PTNA can be sent in and PTNA will receive 10%.

First Middle School Parent Teacher Council (MSPTC) meeting of the year at U-32 is on Thursday, September 6th 6:30-7:30pm in conference room in the back of the library. Please join us if you have a student in grades 7 or 8! (Minutes are posted at or request them by emailing Corinne) Next meeting Thur. Oct 11th.

Berlin Elementary Open House on Thursday, Sept. 27 THIS IS A CHANGE

There is a position open on the Berlin Elementary school board. If you're interested in becoming involved in the school board, send a letter of interest to the board chair, Linda Beaupre.

COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS after school programs will start the first day of school at Berlin Elementary School. Special Interest Clubs run Monday-Friday Times: 3:35-5:00pm with Extended Care 5:00-5:30pm. Cost: $5 per club, per day* with Extended Care being an additional $2 per day.
*Alternative funding available. Please inquire about subsidies or scholarships.*
