When the town of Berlin mails out information (for instance, the town newsletters that used to come out once or twice a year) it is mailed to the grand list which is property owners. If you, or somebody you know is renting - they need to call the town 223-4405 and ask to be added to the mailing list. If you’re a landlord perhaps you didn’t know your tenants weren’t also receiving the same information.

DINOMAN - Saturday, November 19th 10:30am at Berlin Elementary. Tickets $5 per person, available only at the door. Dinoman and his dinosaurs haven’t made a public appearance in the area since 2003 – usually they’re touring schools, museums and libraries across the US. This production takes the audience on a fast paced trip through the Mesozoic Era. The changing earth, how fossils are created, and the newest paleo discoveries are brought to life with music, magic, and incredible props. Ultimately three life-size dinosaurs, a duckbill, longneck, and T-Rex will be displayed. Bob Lisaius the show’s creator will perform the production. An avid fossil hunter, Mr. Lisaus has dug for dinosaurs in South and North Dakota, Montana, and Wyoming. Dinoman is presented as a fundraiser for the Berlin Elementary School Parent Teacher Neighbor Association. Please call 496-6109 for more information.

BEFORE YOU TOSS THAT SBA LOAN APPLICATION … Know that Small Business Administration low-interest loans are NOT just for businesses. Homeowners, landlords, tenants -- anyone who received a loan application is encouraged to complete it and return it by NOV. 15. Despite thousands of applications mailed to Vermonters, fewer than 1,000 have been returned. Residents could miss an inexpensive loan or even additional FEMA grant money if they ignore the application. Know that:
• If you do not qualify for a loan, you may be eligible for more FEMA grant money (as long as your FEMA award is less than the maximum $30,200).
• You can decide later whether to take a loan. Applying gives you time to figure that out.
• The SBA can structure a loan in various ways including working with existing mortgages.
• Loan approval is based on flood damage and ability to pay, not on personal assets.

Call the SBA Help Line 800-659-2955; or find forms online at www.sba.gov .
