Are you a FreeCycle member? http://groups.yahoo.com/group/washingtoncountyvermont This is a great way to find a home for something you no longer need or to find something you do need! We've done a little of both - everything from plants to furniture. Usually you need to be able to go pick up anything you get although once in a while it's something like Shaw's points which can be mailed. There are FreeCycle groups throughout Vermont so if you work for instance in the Burlington area, you might also want to be a part of that group.

Interested in swapping books? The place for you is: http://www.paperbackswap.com
On this website you post books in very good condition which you are willing to send to a person requesting them at your own expense (usually a couple dollars depending on the size). You receive a credit to get a book of your choice for each book you send off. You also get two bonus credits for posting your first 10 books (the number needed to become a member). For those of you who LOVE deals I can also give you details of where on the site you can get more than one book for each credit! If you join PaperBackSwap.com please use my email as your referral (corinne.s@comcast.net) and I'll receive one credit which I'll use for a book for the school.
