additional info - Oct. News You Can Use

BALLROOM DANCING - Any adults interested in taking some ballroom dance lessons? Teenagers would be welcome also. I'm trying to arrange 6 - 8 weeks of lessons with an instructor who is simply wonderful. It will take place here in Berlin. Not sure how soon it will start, depends on instructors availability and your feedback. Ideal would be to sign up as a couple but could try to connect up singles who are interested. There will be a fee involved. I'm sure it will be impossible to pick a day of the week and time of day that will work for all but go ahead and let me know your preferences. When you get back to me, I'll provide more details.

update: VOLUNTEER DRIVERS STILL NEEDED TO DELIVER MEALS ON WHEELS TO BERLIN SENIORS We're looking for Berlin to form a volunteer group of about 8 - 10 drivers for serving Meals on Wheels to Berlin seniors. These volunteers would be ask to deliver following a designated route from 10 a.m. - 12.30 p.m. each day. In most cases, the meals need to be delivered 7 days a week, but the number of days per volunteers would depend on the number of volunteers. If you are interested in participating as a volunteer driver, please contact Pat McDonald at 476-8411 or by email at patmcdonald8411@charter.net. MHDP has advised that each volunteer will be subject to a background check and must have a vehicle, insurance and a valid drivers license. Volunteers do not receive mileage reimbursement. Once Berlin is able to get a group together, we will have a meeting with MHDP's Kimberley Lashua to discuss the program in more detail, answer all your questions, and finalize details.
