Get out and Green up Saturday, May 5th
Come to Berlin Elementary School on May 5th to pick up your bags for this years Green up Day. Refreshments will be available and you can enter a drawing to win a rain barrel. Stop by Saturday morning from 7:30 am to noon. Leave the bags on the side of the road or bring them to the dumpsters at the Town office (town garage) parking lot. I believe over at the school there will be a map for folks in the morning to have an idea of where Green Up is or did take place so please try to check in there so progress can be noted. It's wonderful to see some folks have already been out greening up along some of the Berlin roads. If an area you typically help out with has already been covered please take the time to go to another area. There are some areas, especially along Route 12 where some larger efforts will be needed... if you see folks out there working, they may need your help too. Some folks will be helping out with some equipment but will need some muscle power too.
If you can't get out on Saturday... perhaps Sunday you can still help. Our wonderful town garage folks won't be going around to pick up the filled bags, tires, etc. left on the side of the road until Monday.
Whenever you go, be sure to wear solid shoes or boots and gloves!
