News to Know January 15, 2015 Draft Town Budget

News to Know sent on January 15, 2015

1/15/15 - The Town Budget which will be voted on at the Town Meeting in March is close to being finalized. Please take the time BEFORE MONDAY EVENING to take a look while you can still give input and ask questions before it's adopted to go to the voters. In the Google Spreadsheet that Selectboard member Jeremy Hansen is sharing out, note that there are about 28 tabs across the bottom to see the various pages and some cells on the pages have a little black triangle which means there is more information if you hover over it. It is worthwhile to watch the video (28 mins) with Jeremy narrating. Jeremy can be reached at:Hansen.selectboard@gmail.com

Here is what Jeremy posted:
The Selectboard has recently come to the end of our discussions of next year's budget, and we'd like to present you with the semi-final version of what we've come up with. We still have Monday's regular meeting to make any last-minute changes, so if you have questions or comments, please contact me or any of the other Selectboard members.
To start with, the entire budget spreadsheet is here:

It's been reformatted from last year, and is hopefully a bit more logical this time around. If you see small black triangles in the budget, just move your mouse pointer over them and you can read the notes I've added. I have recorded a video of me walking through the budget and identifying most of the large changes:

If there's anything that's confusing or I don't explain well enough, I'm happy to go back into the spreadsheet and add more notes or explanations. If I get a lot of feedback, I'll record another video to go through any further questions.
Thanks and have a great weekend!
